Top 5 Medical Apps on iOS in Africa Q3 2021

The third quarter of 2021 saw notable activity among the top medical apps on iOS in Africa. Here’s a closer look at the performance trends of the top five apps in this category.

LabTrak Barcode Scanner from Devson Software (Pty) Ltd demonstrated consistent revenue generation, starting at approximately $699 in late June and peaking at around $909 in mid-September. Weekly downloads, however, showed a downward trend, decreasing from 144 in late June to 44 by the end of September.

Parent Sense: Daily Baby Care by Sense-IT Limited experienced fluctuating revenue throughout the quarter, with a high of around $468 in the first week of September. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight decrease from 163 in late June to 126 by the end of September.

The Blood Oxygen App from AboutMe Apps, Inc. saw its revenue peak at $544 in mid-July before declining to around $192 by the end of September. Downloads followed a similar trend, starting at 738 in late June and ending at 379 in late September. Active users also saw a gradual decline from 654 in late June to 465 by the end of September.

IMAIOS e-Anatomy, published by IMAIOS, had a notable increase in revenue towards the end of the quarter, reaching around $404 in the last week of September. Downloads remained low, with a peak of 25 in early September. Active users were minimal but saw a small increase from 10 in late July to 21 by early September.

Lastly, Plabable for PLAB and MLA from Plabable Limited showed varied revenue, peaking at around $408 in mid-July. Downloads were generally low, with a peak of 38 in the third week of September.
